About POLYMER ADHESIVE

91 000 74051 LATICRETE 315 PLUS is a high-performance, single-component, polymer-modified cementitious adhesive designed for bonding ceramic tiles, vitrified tiles, precast terrazzo, and natural stone on both floors and walls. It offers excellent workability and extended open time, making it ideal for professional installations where precision and flexibility are important. The adhesive can be mixed with either clean water or a latex admixture (such as LATICRETE 3701) for enhanced performance and strength.

It works well on a variety of cement-based substratessuch as concrete, concrete masonry, cement plaster, mortar beds, and even existing tile surfaces (after proper surface preparation). LATICRETE 315 PLUS supports thin-bed installation methods and can handle a maximum bed thickness of up to 12 mm. It is available in grey and white variants.

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Easy to Use: Just add water for mixing no multi-part systems or complex preparation required.

  • Extended Open Time: Provides a long pot life (up to ~3 hours) which gives installers more time to adjust tiles and ensures proper setting.

  • Non-Sag: Designed for vertical (wall) applications without sagging, ensuring tiles stay in place perfectly.

  • High Bond Strength: Exceeds the shear bond strength requirements of ANSI A118.4 and meets IS 15477:2019 Type 2 T standards.

  • Flexible & Strong: The polymer-modified formula provides good flexibility and impact resistance; can be fortified with a latex admixture (LATICRETE 3701) for even better performance, especially in exterior or demanding applications.

  • Substrate Compatibility: Bonds to a wide range of surfaces concrete, brick masonry, plaster, mortar beds, existing tiles, etc.

  • Very Economical Coverage: Around 5560 sq ft per 20 kg bag (with ~3 mm bed thickness, using a 6 6 mm notched trowel).

  • Certifications & Standards: Complies with EN / ISO as a C2TE adhesive.

  • Bed Thickness Flexibility: Can be applied up to 12 mm bed depth, giving room for uneven substrates.

Reliable Bonding for Diverse Applications

Crafted for professional use, this acrylic polymer-based adhesive excels on wood, MDF, laminate, particle board, PVC, and more. Its high purity and strong holding power make it ideal for industrial bonding, construction projects, and decorative interior assembly. The flexible cured state ensures durability even with material movement, making it a preferred choice among manufacturers and service providers.

Seamless Application and Versatile Compatibility

The adhesive's creamy viscosity and impressive open time of 10-15 minutes afford ample working flexibility, while the strong initial tack diminishes the need for clamps in many cases. Suitable for both porous and non-porous materials, it supports creative solutions across varied sectors, from woodcraft to furniture production and beyond.

FAQ's of POLYMER ADHESIVE:

Q: How should I apply polymer adhesive for optimal bonding?

A: Apply a uniform layer of the adhesive (0.10-0.18 mm thick) to clean, dry surfaces using a brush, roller, or spreader. Join materials within the open time of 10-15 minutes, press firmly, and allow the bond to cure undisturbed for at least 24 hours for maximum strength.

Q: What materials are compatible with this polymer adhesive?

A: This adhesive is versatile and suitable for wood, plywood, MDF, PVC, laminates, particle board, and other common construction materials. Its high initial tack and strong cure make it effective for both porous and non-porous surfaces.

Q: When will the bonded surfaces reach full strength?

A: Complete curing and full bond strength are attained after 24 hours under normal conditions. Initial holding is strong due to high tack, but maximum durability requires the full curing period.

Q: Where can I use this adhesive safely?

A: Use this product in industrial settings, construction projects, interior decoration, and carpentry. Its non-toxic, low-odor formula makes it suitable for indoor applications, but ensure good ventilation during use.

Q: What is the process for cleaning up spilled or excess adhesive?

A: Clean up uncured adhesive with water. Once cured, mechanical removal such as scraping may be necessary as the adhesive becomes water-resistant after setting.

Q: What are the main benefits of using this polymer adhesive?

A: Key benefits include high initial tack, strong and flexible long-lasting bonds, rapid setting, non-staining properties, and ease of use across various surfaces. The adhesive is also water resistant, non-toxic under normal conditions, and has a mild, non-offensive odor.
