•  91 000 74051 civilizemart 226 Thick Bed Mortar is a factory-prepared mortar mix made from carefully selected raw materials: Portland cement and graded aggregates (sand). 

• Its designed to be used (often with a latex admix, e.g. LATICRETE 3642 Latex or 3701 Mortar Admix) to create a polymer-fortified cement mortar for high-strength, durable applications. 

This mortar is suitable for a variety of applications: 

• Creating traditional thick cement mortar beds (floors, screeds) under tiles, stone, terrazzo, etc. 

• Cement plasters and concrete repairs (walls, floors, masonry) interior or exterior. 

• Suitable over substrates like concrete, concrete masonry, brick masonry, cement mortar beds, backer boards (depending on installation), for tile/stone/terrazzo installation. 

• Can be used in wet areas or even submerged applications (e.g. pool interiors), if mixed with the proper latex admix. 

• Premixed  you dont need to blend sand and cement on site. That means consistent, quality-controlled mix every time. 

• High-strength formula  when combined with the recommended latex admix, it meets high-performance standards (e.g. per EN 13813 and classification CT-C20-F10-B1.5) for load-bearing and durability. 

• Versatile  works for floors, walls, ceilings; in wet or dry areas; interior and exterior. 

• Economical & easy to use  saves time and labour (no onsite blending), doesnt require special tools, and is non-flammable/safe to store and mix.

• Approximate coverage (when used as mortar bed): for a 60 lb bag: roughly 12 sq ft at 1 (25 mm) thickness, 3 sq ft at 2 (51 mm). 

• Shelf-life (for non-rapid versions) is about 2 years if stored correctly though high humidity reduces shelf life. 

• It contains Portland cement and silica sand can cause skin burns or eye damage. Avoid direct contact; use protective gloves/eye protection, avoid dust inhalation. 

• Not a substitute for waterproofing membranes: if installation requires waterproofing (e.g. wet areas, showers), youll need to use appropriate waterproof membranes, not rely on mortar/grout alone. 

• For certain sensitive materials (e.g. green marble or water-sensitive natural stones), a different adhesive (e.g. epoxy or specialized adhesive) may be recommended.
