 91 000 74051 SmartCare Flexiseal PU  A single-component, pitch-modified, polyurethane liquid waterproofing membrane. It is cold-applied and cures by reacting with moisture in the air to form a seamless, highly elastic, and durable waterproofing layer.
Primary Function: To provide a high-performance, flexible barrier that protects structures from water ingress, both above and below ground. It is designed to bridge cracks and accommodate structural movement.

Q1: How is this product applied?A:Surface Prep: The concrete must be sound, level, and clean (free of dust, oil). Moisture must be <5%. Repair all holes and cracks.Priming: Priming is generally not needed on sound surfaces. For porous or very smooth surfaces, a primer coat (Flexiseal PU diluted 40% with Solvalux thinner) is recommended.Crack Treatment: Seal large cracks and joints with SmartCare Unoverseal PU Sealant and reinforce with a fiber mesh strip embedded in Flexiseal PU.Application: Apply to achieve a Dry Film Thickness (DFT) of 1mm to 2mm. This can be done in one or two coats. On vertical surfaces, apply a maximum of 0.5mm per coat.Curing: Allow it to fully cure for 7 days before subjecting it to water.
Q2: What is the coverage area?A: 1 liter covers 1 square meter at a 1mm DFT on a smooth surface. Rough or textured surfaces will require more product.Q3: How long does it take to dry and cure?A:Touch Dry: 15 - 24 hours (at 25C, 50% RH)Full Cure: 7 days (to achieve full properties)Flood Test: Can be conducted after 7 days of application.Q4: Does it require a protective layer?A: Yes, absolutely. The membrane must be protected from exposure and mechanical damage.Horizontal surfaces: Protect with a 250 GSM geotextile separation layer and a concrete screed (M20 grade).Vertical surfaces: Protect with plaster, screed, or a protection board before backfilling.It should never be left exposed to the open sky.Q5: What is the shelf life?A: 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in its original, sealed container in a cool, dry, shaded place away from heat sources.Q6: What are the safety precautions?A: The product contains bitumen and solvents.Avoid smoking, naked flames, or sparks near the product.Wear gloves, safety goggles, and a nose pad during application.Ensure good ventilation.In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if necessary.Always refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).Q7: How are tools cleaned?A: Clean equipment immediately after use with Solvalux 7-25 thinner.
