•  91 000 74051 civilizemart 3642 is a concentrated latex admix (liquid)  not a dry mortar designed to be diluted with water on site and then mixed with 226 Thick Bed Mortar (or cement + sand) to produce a polymer-fortified thick bed mortar, screed, plaster, or repair mortar.  

When used correctly, 3642 + 226 (or cement-sand) mixture is suitable for:

• Mortar beds and screeds floors and walls. 

• Cement plaster or render for walls

• Interior and exterior applications; also suitable for wet or underwater environments (e.g. wet areas, submerged surfaces) if properly mixed. 

• Using as bonding / priming coat on substrates such as concrete, cement plaster, brick masonry, cement backer boards (depending on board manufacturers recommendations), before applying tile/stone works. 

Using 3642 Latex Concentrate with mortar offers several advantages over plain cement-sand mortar:

• Greater compressive and flexural strength  mortar made with 3642 shows improved strength compared to unmodified mortar. 

• Reduced water absorption / better water resistance  this helps durability, especially in damp, exterior, or wet-area conditions. 

• Enhanced flexibility and shock / thermal / seismic resistance  so the mortar can better tolerate movements, temperature changes, and structural stress. 

• Versatility  suitable for a wide range of substrates (concrete, masonry, plaster, backer boards, terrazzo, etc.) and for multiple applications (beds, renders, screeds, repairs). 

Based on the manufacturer data for a mix using 50 kg of 226 powder: 

Typical performance (when mixed properly):

• Compressive strength: ~ 2225 N/mm (some data show even ~ 36 MPa depending on test) 

• Flexural strength: ~ 9.511 N/mm 

• Tensile strength: ~ 3.754.5 N/mm

• Dry mortar density: ~ 19502100 kg/m 

Other working properties: pot life ~ 1 hour; foot traffic after 24 hours; heavy traffic after ~ 72 hours (depending on site & conditions). 

• Surfaces must be clean, sound, free from dust, oil, grease, curing compounds, etc. . 

• Use potable water to dilute 3642. 

• Mix in correct proportions: improper ratio of latex:water or powder:liquid may affect performance. 

• If applied over backer boards or special substrates, check manufacturers guidelines for load-bearing capacity or suitability. 

• For tile/stone installations over the mortar bed, ensure mortar bed is properly compacted, void-free, levelled, and allowed to cure sufficiently before tiling. Some sources mention waiting ~1224 hours (or more) before proceeding.
