 91 000 74051 Dr. Fixit Bitufix is a water-based emulsified thixotropic bitumen coating formulated for damp proofing below-ground concrete structures above the water table. It dries to form a flexible black barrier that combats moisture, salts, and vapor transmission. Ideal for damp-proof course (DPC), footings, masonry walls, plinth beams, and as a moisture vapor barrieralso used in built-up roofing systems.

Q1. Can Bitufix be applied in hot weather / direct sunlight?It can be applied up to ~55 C, but avoid direct intense sunlight when applying. Q2. Is Bitufix suitable for below ground where there is hydrostatic pressure?Its meant for structures above the water table. For full hydrostatic water pressure situations, other more specialized injection or membrane systems are more appropriate. Q3. How much area will 20 L cover?Approx 80 m for one coat at ~4 m/L; for two coats you will need double that. Actual coverage depends on surface porosity & texture.Q4. How long does it take to dry between coats?Allow the first coat to fully dry before applying the next. Usually within a few hours depending on temperature and ventilation.Q5.
